Ambassadors

Ambassadors Committee meets the Friday following the Board of Director's meeting at 12:00 pm. The Ambassador Committee is the welcome arm of the Chamber and a group of volunteers who works to provide greater visibility for new members while supporting, encouraging, and spreading goodwill among existing members.

Bastrop Young Professionals

The purpose is to connect and empower young professionals and bridge the gap between individuals building their career and established business. Some events are smaller and are perfect for those who prefer meeting in a closer setting. Others are meant to draw a larger audience. You choose. Whatever your preference, you will be welcomed from your very first event and comfortable with your peers in no time. The event list includes: 1.) Monthly meetings 2.) Annual Mixer 3.) Business/Governmental Affairs

Business/Governmental Affairs Committee meets the 1st Tuesday of every month at 8:00 am in the Chamber Boardroom. Purpose: The Governmental Affairs Committee identifies priorities and needs of the Bastrop area business community, establishes policy positions, and communicates with relevant governments to enhance member success and community prosperity.

Education

Education Committee meets the 1st Friday of every month at 8:30 am in the Chamber Boardroom. The Education Committee works with Bastrop ISD to improve its public image and help develop positive activities in the education arena.

Hospitality

The Hospitality Committee provides an essential function of planning the Annual Chamber Banquet, the B.E.S.T. Countywide Mixer & Alive After Five events and creating an atmosphere that is welcoming to members and the public at large.

Lemon Council

In a partnership between the Chamber Foundation of Bastrop County and the Bastrop Chamber of Commerce, we launched our inaugural Lemonade Day season in 2024. This program helps plant the seed of entrepreneurship within the next generation to create the business leaders, social advocates, community volunteers, and forward-thinking citizens of tomorrow. www.lemonadeday.org/bastrop-regional

Membership

The Membership Committee meets the 3rd Friday of every month at 11:30 am. The Membership Committee actively recruits Chamber members from the business community, civic, and educational sectors of Bastrop County by promoting value of membership, orienting new members toward active participation and is a catalyst for creating new programs benefiting members.
