About Us
Bastrop Independent School District is the largest employer in Bastrop County with nearly 1,500 employees. We proudly educate more than 12,600 students in grades PK-12 from Bastrop, Cedar Creek, Red Rock, Rockne and Paige. We have 8 elementary schools, 2 middle schools, 2 comprehensive high schools, 1 early college high school, and 1 alternative high school. Students enrolled in BISD have an outstanding array of academic programs to choose from, including advanced track academics, Advanced Placement, dual credit, articulated credit. career internships and more. In addition, high school students can choose from a traditional academic program, Early College High School program, or three unique P-TECH Academies in health science, advanced manufacturing, or education/training.
