AUSTIN - The Board of Directors for the Texas Chamber of Commerce Executives – the largest chamber executives’ organization of all U.S. states – has elected Doug Peters, CEO of the Abilene Chamber of Commerce, to serve a one-year term as the 2025 Chair of the Board. Peters, who has served on the TCCE board since 2016, previously served as Chair-Elect and Treasurer. Active in Chambers of Commerce in four states since 1986, Peters brings extensive experience and expertise to his new role. Doug Peters said, “In 2025, I am committed to ensuring that every Chamber professional seeking guidance, collaboration, and industry best practices will be able to rely on TCCE to be a trusted resource.”
The TCCE Board of Directors elected Hurst Euless Bedford Chamber CEO Mary Frazior as the 2025 Chair-Elect and Odessa Chamber CEO Renee’ Earls as the 2025 Treasurer. Peters said, “With nearly 75 years building and leading business leaders, Mary and Renee’ are logical leaders for TCCE and to help us remain at the forefront of Texas not-for-profit innovation.”
TCCE is also pleased to welcome two new Board Members: Jeff Webster, CEO of the Greater San Antonio Chamber and Kristin Weiss, CEO of the Central Fort Bend Chamber to their three-year term, beginning in 2025. Peters said, “Jeff and Kristin’s leadership and expertise will be valuable assets to the board. We are grateful for their willingness to serve.”
